| On February 18, 1975, Trooper Charles Black impounded a green 1966 Ford van bearing 1973 Washington license plate L84590 from Interstate 80 at the eastbound "on" ramp at Altoona. On April 7, 1975, upon being contacted by the victim's father stating that the van belonged to his son, the vehicle was broken into to look for clues as to where Gregory might have been headed. Upon inspecting the vehicle the body of Gregory Dickey was found in the back seat under a blanket. |
