On October 10, 1987, at approximately 8:45 a.m., a fisherman discovered the body of Kenny Johnson beneath a piece of carpeting lying on a sandy beach at Maus Lake. Johnson was last seen alive on the morning of October 8, 1987 at Central School, which is part of the Dubuque Alternative School.
