GAMING ENFORCEMENT BUREAU
AMUSEMENT DEVICE/SOCIAL & CHARITABLE GAMBLING ENFORCEMENT

This unit is comprised of three Special Agents who conduct routine inspections and criminal investigations in the areas of video lottery devices, amusement devices, lottery pull-tabs, and other legal forms of social & charitable gaming to include raffles, carnival games and bingo. Agents are also responsible for criminal investigations resulting from illegal forms of gaming such as sports book-making, high stakes poker, cock-fighting, and others.

During fiscal year 2008 agents in this unit conducted the following:

• 857 - routine amusement device inspections
• 320 - amusement device investigations resulting from complaints
• 34 - social & charitbale and illegal gambling investigations
• 46 - amusement devices seized
• $15,488.49 in U.S. currency seized as a result of criminal investigations
