IOWA DIVISION OF CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION The Gaming Operations Bureau of the DCI includes:
Charis is a 1990 graduate of Buena Vista University with a degree in Business Administration and a 1992 graduate of Drake University where she received her Masters degree in Business Administration. Charis is also a graduate of Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command and Drake University's Certified Public Manager Program. Primary responsibilities of the agents assigned to this bureau are conducting criminal investigations, background investigations, and providing regulatory enforcement at Iowa's 17 state-licensed casinos. Agents are also responsible for enforcement of Iowa's laws in reference to illegal gambling, amusement devices, social & charitable gaming, lotteries, and tribal gaming compacts.
