The Support Operations Bureau is under the direction of DCI Assistant Director Dave Jobes, who was appointed to this position on July 9, 2010. Dave has been a member of the Division of Criminal Investigation since his graduation from the Department of Public Safety's 18th Basic Academy on May 7, 1993. Since that time, Dave has served as a Special Agent in the Field Operations and Gaming Bureaus, as well as his most recent assignment as a Special Agent in charge in the Support Operations Bureau.

Dave earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Simpson College in 1991. He is also a graduate of the Drake University Certified Public Manager program and the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.

The Support Operations Bureau of the DCI is a very diverse work group comprised of 57 employees who work in the Records and Identification Unit, Sex Offender Registry, Criminal History Dissemination Unit, AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) Unit, and Administrative staff who perform clerical, inventory, budgeting, purchasing, and logistical functions for the entire Division. The Support Operations Bureau provides administrative support to the DCI as well as collecting, maintaining, and providing information vital to law enforcement agencies and the general public.
