GTSB Contract Information
The GTSB Program evaluator identifies those areas of the state that are in most need of assistance through the Problem ID. Those agencies that fall into the top 22 problem counties can apply for a traffic safety (402) grant if their city has a population of 5,000 or more. All agencies in the top 22 problem counties can apply for an alcohol incentive (410) grant. Agencies that fall into the top 23 - 40 counties and have a population of 5,000 or more can also apply for an alcohol incentive (410) grant. All other agencies can apply for a sTEP grant (157) to work the 5 sTEP waves. 402 and 410 grants are spead out over the year and are not required to work the sTEP waves, but the GTSB encourages their participation in order to have a statewide coordinated effort.
