Commissioner's Office

The Commissioner's office of the Iowa Department of Public Safety is comprised of three bureaus that provide assistance and support to the divisions and other law enforcement and fire service agencies. They are:

• Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau
• Professional Development & Information Bureau
• Professional Standards Bureau

The 22nd Commissioner of the Iowa Department of Public Safety, K. Brian London, was appointed by Governor Terry E. Branstad on September 11, 2012. He began work at the department on October 8, 2012.
