Des Moines, IOWA --- It’s all about boosting your kid’s booty and buckling up that baby during Child Passenger Safety Week, September 19-25, 2010.  Join thousands of parents, healthcare professionals and emergency responders as they take time to safeguard Iowa’s children against injury and death during motor vehicle crashes.

The Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau at the Department of Public Safety annually encourages its partner agencies to host Child Seat Check Up events in their local communities.  These events are designed to chip away at the large number of drivers transporting children in safety seats that aren’t correctly installed.  In fact, national statistics indicate roughly three out of four child safety seats are not used correctly.

Join us this Monday, September 20th to help properly buckle up more of Iowa’s precious babies!
