Hamburg, IOWA --- Jennifer Lee Tierney, a 17 year old female from Hamburg, has been taken into custody in Fremont County and charged with Murder 2nd for the stabbing death of Douglas Mitchell Brake, a 19 year old male from Sidney, Iowa.

In addition, Cayla Cheree Binder, an 18 year old female from Sidney, has been charged with Going Armed with Intent and Accessory After the Fact for her involvement in the death of Douglass Brake.

At approx. 7:20 a.m., Sunday, November 14, 2010, a physical altercation occurred between Tierney, Binder, and Brake in the US Post Office parking lot in Hamburg, Iowa.  During the course of this altercation, Brake was stabbed and died as a result of the injury. 

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.  A joint law enforcement investigation into the incident continues.  An autopsy will be conducted at the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny.
