Des Moines, IOWA --- The Iowa State Patrol is starting to see an increase in the number of crashes, motorist assists, and calls to its six communications centers as a major winter storm system slowly moves across the state.
State Patrol Officials remind motorists that over the next 48 hours, snow will continue to accumulate and wind speeds will increase. These conditions will negatively affect road conditions and visibility, particularly in the south and southeastern portions of the state. To find out what the roads are like in your corner of the state, visit www.511ia.org Please choose carefully when and if travel is necessary. You don't want to be the next Iowan involved in a crash, calling the Iowa State Patrol for assistance! |
