CHARGES FILED AGAINST
THREE IN MANLY, IOWA INVESTIGATION

Manly, Iowa --- Today, Thursday, March 3, 2011 sexual abuse charges were filed against three individuals for an incident that occurred in early December.  The individuals involved are: 

• Tyler Randall Wirtjes, 27 yrs., of Manly, Iowa
• Jason Robert Walker, 19 yrs., of Manly, Iowa
• Zachary Michael Patterson, 19 yrs., of Mooresville, North Carolina

All three subjects were charged with Sex Abuse in the 2nd Degree, a class B felony.  To view a copy of the complaint and affidavit for each subject, click on his name above.

These charges were filed at the conclusion of an investigation initiated by the Manly Police Department and assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.   All three subjects were taken into custody this morning, March 3, 2011, by officers with the Manly Police Department and Agents with the Iowa DCI.  They are currently being held at the Worth County Jail.

It should be noted a criminal charge is merely an accusation and suspects should be considered innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
