Wheatland, IOWA --- The 911 audiotapes, reporting a structure fire at 2329 Memorial Drive on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, have been requested by the media. The building is a farm house that was the primary residence for five people. Three persons were in the building at the time of the fire. One person got out, but two were not able to escape. The 911 calls that were answered by Clinton County Communications on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, were released today. After receiving numerous media requests for the recordings, the Iowa Department of Public Safety Fire Marshal Division and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office are making them available to reporters.

Taren Burris, 26, and her two year old son, Logan Taets died in the fire. Following an autopsy, the cause of death was smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is undetermined and still under investigation.
