DCI Investigating Allegation Against Boone PD Officer

Boone, IOWA --- On Monday, August 15, 2011 the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation was contacted by the Boone Police Department to conduct an investigation into an allegation made against Officer Rodney Thompson, 42 years.  The investigation into this allegation is continuing.  Further details regarding this investigation will be provided at a later time.

Officer Thompson was placed on administrative leave by the Boone Police Department on Monday, August 15, 2011 and subsequently resigned on Wednesday, August 17, 2011.

A criminal allegation is merely an accusation and any suspect is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
