State Patrol to Provide Daily Briefings on State Fair Safety, Security

Des Moines, IOWA --- In an effort to keep members of the media and public informed on daily activity at one of Iowa’s greatest attractions, the Iowa State Patrol will offer a media availability each day of the Iowa State Fair, August 9-19, 2012.

The state’s largest law enforcement agency, the Department of Public Safety and its Division of the Iowa State Patrol, is committed to maintaining a safe and secure event.  Each morning Sgt. Bright will provide statistics related to law enforcement activity on the fairgrounds, as well as offer family-friendly tips to help Iowans safely enjoy the state’s great fair traditions.
