Autopsy Complete on Webster City Homicide

Des Moines, IOWA -- A preliminary autopsy report on Steven Graesch from the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner indicates the cause and manner of death as homicide due to blunt force trauma.

On Monday, June 9, 2014, around 2 a.m., Webster City Police responded to a call of a deceased male at 1932 Des Moines Street in Webster City.  When police arrived on scene, they found Steven James Graesch, age 61, dead.

After further investigation, officials determined that Graesch’s son, Corbin James Graesch, age 27, and Steven had an altercation sometime in the early morning hours on Saturday. Steven Graesch died as a result of the altercation.

It should be noted that all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Note: A criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
