Amber Alert Cancelled, Suspect Apprehended

Johnson County, IOWA – Around 1:30AM, Sunday, March 8, 2015, Brianna Crane, 9, was dropped off safely by a third party to law enforcement.

Kenneth Johns, 48, the suspect in the Amber Alert issued Saturday, was taken into custody by the Davenport Police Department Tactical Unit around 9:35AM, Sunday, March 8, 2015, at a residence on Farnum Street and Central Park Avenue in Davenport. There were no injuries sustained during the apprehension of Johns.

No further information will be released at this time due to the on-going investigation.

Background:
An Amber Alert was issued around 3:30PM, Saturday, March 7, 2015, for an alleged child abduction.

Authorities believe Kenneth Eugene Johns, 48, abducted Brianna Crane, 9, of Solon, on Saturday.
