These new Facebook and Twitter pages will highlight the latest news, press releases, events, safety tips, need-to-know information, behind the scenes looks at how the Iowa Department of Public Safety operates. These pages will serve as a way for the public to learn more about the DPS and be able to ask questions and have an interactive channel to the DPS.

These two departmental social media pages will represent all six DPS divisions: Iowa State Patrol Division (ISP), Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), State Fire Marshal Division (SFM), Division of Narcotics Enforcement (DNE), Division of Intelligence and Fusion Center (DOI) and Administrative Services Division (ASD) and many other areas of the DPS.

The Facebook and Twitter pages do not serve as a direct communication line for emergency response in critical situations.  The public is reminded to always call 911 for any emergency.
