Former Reserve Police Officer Charged with Felonies

GRUNDY COUNTY, Iowa – On April 1, 2016, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Agents arrested Dennis Beadle, 36, of Iowa Falls, Iowa. Beadle is charged with 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse, a class C Felony, Stalking while carrying a dangerous weapon, a class D Felony, and two counts of Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse causing bodily injury, both class D Felonies.  Beadle is a former Reserve Police Officer for the Eldora Police Department.

On December 21, 2015, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation initiated an investigation involving several incidents outlined in the attached complaint and affidavit involving Beadle and a female.  The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Falls Police Department also provided assistance with the investigation.

Beadle was arrested today, without incident, in Iowa Falls and transported to the Grundy County Jail. Beadle was booked in the jail on $75,000 bond where he subsequently posted a surety bond and was released.
