GTSB Snapchat Filters Unveiled in Time for Music Festival

DES MOINES, Iowa—If you are headed out to the 80/35 Music Festival in the Western Gateway Park area of downtown Des Moines this weekend, the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau (GTSB) reminds you to celebrate responsibly.

That’s why the GTSB is unveiling two (2) new filters that you will find on Snapchat when you’re in the area of the 80/35 Music Festival this weekend. Examples of the filters are shown below.

These new filters are part of a larger project by the GTSB and the newly formed Impaired Driving Coalition, focused on eliminating impaired driving in Iowa.

The GTSB encourages all Iowans to always celebrate responsibly and to plan ahead before partying for an alternative, safe ride home.  By using these Snapchat filters, the GTSB hopes to spread the message of the dangers of driving while impaired. It could cost you your life or an innocent life or lives.

The filters were created by the Integer Group in Des Moines through a contract with the GTSB.
