Governor Branstad to Recognize National Missing Children's Day Poster Contest Winners

DES MOINES, Iowa --
Governor Terry E. Branstad and the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Division of Criminal Investigation’s (DCI) Missing Person Information Clearinghouse (MPIC) will honor the winners of the annual Missing Children’s Day Poster Contest.

More than 55 fifth graders from across the state participated in this year’s poster contest. The winners will be awarded for their excellence in visually depicting the harsh realities of child abductions, as well as their eternal hope for a safe return of missing kids everywhere. These posters show their compassion for our country’s lost and missing youth, through art. Please join us as we recognize the artist’s hard work and compassion for Iowa’s missing children.

The Iowa Department of Public Safety is also supporting the ROCK ONE SOCK Campaign for missing children and their families. Missing children’s issues don’t affect everyone directly but you can show your support when you Rock One Sock.
