Update: Bedford Child Death Investigation

BEDFORD, Iowa -- On Friday May 22, 2015, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call for a child not breathing at 806 Washington St. in Bedford, Iowa.  When Deputies arrived they located a 3 year old female, now identified as Janyiah King, unresponsive.

Iowa DCI Investigates Logan Hit and Run

LOGAN, Iowa – On July 4, 2015, at approximately 11:00 PM, a Harrison County Deputy Sheriff and a Logan Police Officer came upon a female body on the side of the road near the 115 mile marker of Highway 127, on the north side of Logan. Officers discovered the female was deceased upon their arrival and it appeared she was a victim of a hit and run.

Iowa GTSB Reminds April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Distracted driving is a dangerous problem in Iowa.  According to the results of a AAA Foundation study released last month, there is significant evidence that distracted driving is a much more serious problem than previously known, especially with young drivers ages 16-19.

The assistance from DOI helped Ottumwa Police locate and arrest this suspect.

Chariton, IOWA – At approximately 10:00 PM, Robert Eugene Graham, 45, was taken into custody in Missouri.  Graham was taken into custody without incident at Poosey State Park in Livingston County by members of the Grundy and Livingston County Sheriff’s Offices and the Missouri State Highway Patrol SWAT Team.  Graham is currently being held at the Livingston County Jail.
