Marshal Myers was shot and killed Wednesday, March 30, 1921, while making his rounds at about 4:15 a.m., when he encountered five robbers breaking into the Stuart bank. Shooting broke out and Marshal Myers was shot three times.
Marshal Myers was a Night Marshal for the city of Stuart and was 70 years old.
