DEPUTY FRANK SMITH
Deputy Smith was shot and killed on Saturday, August 9, 1924, when he and the sheriff responded to a domestic disturbance call. The suspect shot Deputy Smith before being shot and wounded by the sheriff. The suspect committed suicide.
Deputy Smith served the Clay County Sheriff's Office for 10 years and was survived by his wife.
