MARSHAL VIRGIL G. UNTIED
Marshal Untied was shot on Thursday, July 23, 1931while attempting to arrest three robbery suspects. Marshal Untied was on foot patrol when he spotted the three robbing a grocery store. He was shot as he attempted to arrest them. The suspects fled the scene and were never apprehended. Marshal Untied sucumbed to his injuries on Monday, July 27, 1931.
Marshal Untied was 33 years old and was survived by his wife and three children. Marshal Untied was a member of the Minburn Police Department.
