The Training and Recruitment Bureau is responsible for conducting research on various training issues for its employees, coordinating yearly departmental and in-service training, grants management, and updating the department's Rules and Regulations manual. In addition, the Bureau is responsible for recruiting, managing the Peace Officer Selection Process, and overseeing the basic training academy.

The office of the Training and Recruitment Bureau includes the Bureau Chief, three sworn officers, the Recruitment Coordinator, the Peace Officer Applicant Coordinator, and an Administrative Assistant.
