In 2008, the Iowa General Assembly enacted legislation creating the Commission on Energy Efficiency Standards and Practices. The Commission is chaired by Building Code Commissioner Stuart Crine and inlcudes a representative of the Iowa Office of Energy Independence appointed by the Director of that office, and 11 other members, representing designated stakeholder groups and appointed by Commissioner Crine.
