Licensing of Manufactured Housing Manufacturers, Distributors, and Retailers

Licensing of manufactured housing manufacturers, distriubutors, and retailers is administered by the Iowa Department of Public Safety. The program is located in the Building Code Bureau of the Fire Marshal Division and administered by the Building Code Commissioner.

The program was transferred from the Department of Transportation to the Department of Public Safety in 2006 Iowa Acts, Chapter 1090. The Department of Public Safety assumed responsibility for the program on January 1, 2007.
