The Fire Service Training Bureau, is proud to offer National Certification for the Iowa Fire Service through accreditation with the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC). This accreditation assures firefighters that the testing is unbiased, current, and conforms to recognized national standards. The Fire Service Training Bureau completed the 2017 (IFSAC) reaccreditation assessment site visit the week of February 20, 2017. The FSTB has been given approval to continue issuing certifications.
Additionally, the Fire Service Training Bureau is currently working towards receiving accreditation through the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (ProBoard). We anticipate receiving the ProBoard accreditation during the 2017 calendar year.
All levels of certification begin with the candidate submitting a Certification Testing Registration Form and fee. Please submit your Certification Testing Registration Form at least 10 days before the test date.
(This form is required for anyone wishing to test or retest a certification level.)
