STATE/FEDERAL INSPECTION FEES

STATE INSPECTION FEES

Since January 1, 2010 fees are assessed for the following Fire Safety Inspections:

  • Flamable Liquids - $100 + $25 for each tank
  • Adult Daycare - $75.00 each inspection
  • Assisted Living Facilities - $10.00 per bed
  • Daycare Facilities/Preschools - $25.00 a year
  • Elder Group Homes - $10.00 per bed
  • Feasibility Inspections - $150.00 each inspection
  • Second and Subsequent Revisits - $125.00 each

Current versions of the State Building Code, Chapter 661-300 through 661-303, and the State Fire Marshal Rules, Chapter 661-5 and 661-201. 661-202, 661-205, may be obtained in PDF format, from the Iowa General Assembly Website.

FEDERAL HEALTHCARE INSPECTION FEES

Since January 1, 2010 fees are assessed for the following Fire Safety Inspections:

  • Healthcare Facilities - $2.50 per bed
  • Feasibility Inspections - $150.00 each inspection
  • 2nd and Subsequent Revisits - $125.00 each
