Director Ray Reynolds, State Fire Marshal was sworn in on April 1, 2010 as the 13th State Fire Marshal since inception of the State Fire Marshal's Office in 1911, by Commissioner Eugene T. Meyer.
Director Reynolds began his career at the Iowa Department of Public Safety in 1996. He graduated from the 23rd DPS Basic Academy and joined the ranks of the State Fire Marshal's Office as a Fire Prevention Inspector. Over the last 13 years Director Reynolds has worked as a Special Agent investigating fire and arson, and took on special assignments with the Iowa Intelligence Fusion Center working on the Joint Terrorism Task Force and coordinating the Law Enforcement Intelligence Network. |
